MDF exterior: what is it?
MDF exterior is the MDF variant that can be used in humid conditions as well as outdoors, it is a waterproof sheet. Because of this property, this sheet is also called MDF waterproof. This wooden sheet has the user-friendliness of MDF but with added waterproof properties. These sheets can be recognized by the grey core. Compared to other sheet materials, the fibre structure of these MDF sheets is less sensitive to shrinkage and expansion at varying temperatures. In addition, MDF Exterior is compressed under high pressure during manufacture, higher than MDF natural and moisture-resistant MDF. Because of this density, this sheet material is more resistant to weather influences. If you want to work on a 'blank sheet' that can withstand different weather conditions, opt for MDF exterior.
MDF exterior is a structural sheet. This means that this sheet material still needs the necessary finishing before it can be used for visual applications.
Available thicknesses of MDF exterior
MDF can be ordered in different thicknesses. You can easily specify your desired thickness during the ordering process.
