Various custom plywood furniture for a Spacetourer, by Rene

In this DIY project, René shows how he made various custom pieces of furniture for his space-tourer. He opted for various cut-to-size plywood sheet materials. The result is a beautiful and robust functional piece of furniture.

Description of Rene

Design and production of dismountable plywood furniture to fit out a spacetourer van. 1 kitchen cabinet, 1 base cabinet, 1 tall cabinet and 1 chest.

How I carried out this project

Carrying out the scans using Catia CAD after taking the dimensions inside the van (design so that it remains removable and that it can be fixed by screw on the rails of the sliding benches) Reception of the poplar and birch counter-plate boards in thicknesses 15 - 18- 30 mm (73 boards in total (approx 1500€)) and adjustment of the latter with patterns made of cardboard then assembled with screws and glue. Painting and electrification to come...

Approximately 100x50 for the kitchen cabinet, 100x40 for the menu the bottom, 100x30 for the high cabinet and 80x80 for the chest
