Description by Thomas
A kitchen shelf was made for a VW T6. To maximize the work surface, a small folding table was placed on the left side. A heavy-duty pull-out holds the drawer with the cool box. In order to be able to work on the go, the top drawer is implemented as a pull-out table, with a hidden shelf for cell phones etc. built under the table top. In the left part of the shelf there was space for two 14l water canisters so that vegetables etc. could be washed on the go.
How I did this project
The frame of the shelf was assembled with 4x50mm Spax screws and wood glue. The drawers were only screwed together with Spax screws. A heavy-duty pull-out and three self-fixing rails are installed for the drawers. For stabilization, since there is no back wall, some cross braces were used, which were also used to fix it in the bus wall. All visible edges are chamfered. 3 coats of matt black varnish gave the final look. The small folding table was cut from the leftover wood and screwed to the side wall with 2 brackets.
