Roald really enjoys BBQ's with his family. However, he experienced the problem that he had no space to put his things while BBQing, and that is why he looked for a solution. He mounted a fold-out shelf on the wall that serves as a plateau, so that he can now place his BBQ accessories somewhere. Roald chose dark brown birch concrete plywood, because it is a real powerhouse. Do you experience the same problem as Roald? View his DIY project here!
Description by Ronald
I made a floating fold-out shelf from birch plywood that I had cut at TOSIZE.ie. I made this board for when I have a BBQ with my family, so I can put away the tongs and the like. Very ideal, if I say so myself.
How I made this project
First of all, I mounted a wall system on the wall, so that the shelf can be easily unfolded using hinges. I then attached the shelf to the wall and tied it with ropes at the top, so that the shelf is extra sturdy when things are placed on it. A simple job, but I find it very convenient.
