Description by Bas

We have created window sills everywhere by providing a list of dimensions via the handy configuration tool. He selected exactly the records I needed. I wanted an overhang of the window sills and with more luxurious window sills you might as well have to make the notches yourself, so you might as well do the entire windowsill yourself. Everything has been stained with colorless garden house stain against moisture rings, etc. In the long term I also want to neatly round the edges with a router.

How I made this project

First the front of the window opening measure and then add 3.0 cm on both sides. Then measure the depth and add 3.0 cm. Have this frame cut to size from pine planks, at TOSIZE.ie. Then use a square to measure at the back how far the sides are out of plumb and saw the notches, making 'ears' at the front. of 3 by 3.0 cm. It is better to saw a little too little than a little too much. After this, stain everything with a colorless stain. We have taken the strongest one, which is for garden sheds. You can also use a 2K lacquer that is food safe if you want to use it in the kitchen. After this, glue or screw the window sills.

Dimensions of my DIY project

We needed 3 panels for the entire house: 1x 318.0 x 120.0 cm 1x 318.0 x 60.0 cm 1x 90.6 x 40.0 cm
