Summer is the perfect time to get started on your home. Whether it is a new house or a house you have had for a while; there is always something to do! These don't have to be big jobs, but can also be small things that you have been wanting to do for a while. Now that you have a little more time in the summer, you can take it up nicely! Sharon did that too. She had 30 mm MDF cut to size to make a new windowsill. In other words: she rolled up her sleeves and started working with wood.
Sharon's windowsill
Finding a windowsill for a 1930s house with a large window is not easy. The sizes differ from today's standard window sills. To properly replace the windowsill, you have to do it yourself. This can of course be done with a hand saw or a small sawing machine. But you must have it at home. No machine for this? Then we can help! TOSIZE.ie cuts the sheet material to size with millimeter accuracy. You measure your windowsill and we will deliver the material to your home within a few working days. This way you don't have to use a sawing machine and you keep the garden free of sawdust.
Sharon chose 30 mm thick natural MDF for her windowsill. A strong panel with a robust appearance. MDF is easy to assemble and can easily be painted with the help of a primer.
A new windowsill made of MDF
Sharon eventually made the windowsill black. To remove the sharp edge, she had the MDF rounded off at the top. You can indicate this when ordering, just like installing an ABS tire. She then primed the panel herself, painted it black and installed it. Looks sleek!
