The Construction and Details of the TV Cabinet
The design of the TV cabinet is sleek and modern, with an elegant grey finish. The use of materials without visible joints gives the furniture a seamless look. The cabinet is solidly built and offers ample storage space for media equipment and accessories. The simple rectangular shape fits perfectly in most living rooms. The top of the cabinet is smoothly finished, making it ideal for decorations or electronics.

Tips from Rob
For the Tv wall cabinet I designed 2 projects. The dresser in the picture is project 1 and 50 cm deep. The upper cabinet is designed in 35 cm deep.
I left out the lower beams of the wall unit and mounted the uprights on the upper beams of the sideboard. For this I used the original beams of the wall unit as a 'drilling template'. The back wall through the TV compartment is placed 24 cm from the front. Before mounting this back wall I made holes in various places in the back walls and beams for the cables of the lighting, electricity and TV connections. The back wall of the TV compartment is reinforced with the supplied plywood. I had 2 plates of 9 mm and first glued them together. I made two holes in the back wall for the power and TV connections. And then glued and screwed the glued plywood to the back wall and traced the holes in it. For the last beams I did not use all the dowels because I did not have enough space to tap them in properly. In the compartments with doors I pulled the beams down with a screw on the inside. For a neat finish I have boarded up the gaps between the cabinet and the wall and ceiling with planing strips. I have sealed the cobblestones and plastered the thinks between the beams. In the photo the cabinet has had one layer of paint. At least one more layer will be added.
