Creating a personal sound experience

Have you ever had the urge to completely customize a unique piece of technology? Patrick did just that by crafting 2 speaker enclosures from 12mm hardwood plywood, resulting in a 3-way system that not only sounds fantastic but is also extremely aesthetically pleasing. This inspirational project shows how with precision, patience and the right supplies, you can build something spectacular from scratch.

From wood to high-quality sound

The journey began at TOSIZE.ie, where Patrick had hardwood plywood cut to size to form the base of the speakers. These base elements were carefully assembled into robust, low-resonance enclosures that are essential for the clarity of the sound. The black finished enclosures have a sleek, modern look that makes them suitable for almost any space.

Budget-friendly and tailor-made

By building his own speakers, Patrick had complete control over the cost and dimensions. By choosing DIY, materials are flexible and the budget is easier to manage. Plus, the satisfaction of creating something that is both functional and beautiful is priceless.

The durability and beauty of Multiplex Hardwood

12mm hardwood multiplex offers the perfect balance between strength and aesthetics. Not only is this wood durable and long-lasting, it also lends itself to precision finishing and can be beautifully finished in any desired colour or lacquer. Patrick's choice of this wood was strategic and resulted in a set of speakers that are both visually and acoustically striking.
