Description by Bart
To freshen up the Ikea storage space, I used a carpentry panel. The space between the 2 cabinets provides a children's desk. It ensures that the toys remain neatly tidy. The children here are 3 and 6 years old, making the height of 57 cm an ideal height for them to work on. It is also a very simple project that the children will hopefully enjoy.
How I made this project
2 Ikea cabinets of 57 cm high and 99 cm wide. I bought two of these as support. Together with the bins, this provides some storage space for their toys. I spread the cabinets apart so that I arrive at a total length of three meters. On the sides I screw the pine wood panel to the cupboard. Then I place the three-meter pine carpentry board on the cabinets and screw it to the bottom.
Dimensions of my DIY project
300 x 45.5cm
