Description
We have made a bed conversion for our double bed of 210cm x 160cm. The slatted base is free-standing and not attached to the bed. The mattresses extend just slightly above the frame.
Work description: how did you realize your project
First I started making the design. We had a bed frame that was a lot wider, so the bed did not fit as well in our new home. I kept the internal dimensions of the old frame and determined the dimensions after the design using a sawing plan.
For confirmation, I ordered bed fittings and nuts and bolts online.
After receiving the wood, we we first varnished this, layers.
First the bed fittings were attached to the foot end, then to the long sides. Then the legs were attached with nuts and bolts. Then the bed fittings were marked and attached to the headboard.
Final size: What are the outside dimensions?
169.0 cm x 218.3 cm
