Kathleen made dresser ‘GIJS’ with MDF. The end result is something to be proud of!

Kathleen's sideboard

Kathleen used MDF to create a sideboard for the living room. The TV is nicely displayed on the sideboard, while the rest is tucked away behind the push-to-open doors. To finish it off just a bit nicer, Kathleen painted the sideboard grey and the doors white, nice huh?

Making furniture from MDF

MDF is a versatile board material. Because it is made of small wood fibres that are pressed into a board, anything can be added during the production process to adjust the material's properties. This comes in handy if you want to make furniture for specific applications or if you want to save time while handling the material. For example, there is MDF Moisture resistant V313, which can be used in humid rooms indoors, MDF Exterior for outdoor applications and MDF met een grondlaag or lakdragende folie, which can be directly painted over. So there is a suitable board for every job! All these MDF boards are easy to work with and have high bending strength, making them a great choice for making high-quality furniture.
